Genesis iO ID
An instant classic: The internal drive iO ID has the gear range needed for all-conditions riding, however the silence at speed from the constant chain tension brings a quiet calm to riotous trails. You may be seen before you are heard.
This bike could only be conceived in UK riding conditions. With a wide ratio 8-speed Alfine disc hub for problem free shifting in filthy conditions, the iO ID is a limited run, steel-framed mountain bike that could be a precursor to the future of drive-trains. Using the same geometry as the Core and Altitude bikes, there are moments on any ride where the ground clearance and static-shifting ability of this transmission allow you to clear terrain which causes others to stall.

Genesis Altitude 00
To get the best from a mountain bike you need predictable control in all conditions, so the Altitude range is hydraulic disc brake only. Add rack mounts and full Shimano controls for an adaptable bike with a spring to it's ride.
The hand-welded Reynolds frame is unmatched at this level. Even small details like our unique part-welded, part-brazed down tube gusset set it apart. Additionally there are fittings to enable longer trips or to encourage use as a refreshing way home from work.
With none of our beliefs in what is needed for good trail performance compromised, this entry level Altitude rides way beyond preconceptions.
Youll want to hang onto the frame for years, the ride quality, detailed touches and long-term durability predict it.

Genesis Day 02

Genesis Aether
The acceleration and responses of the Aether's triple-butted ALX9 aluminium frame have effects similar to an Expresso. We've found performance benefits in staying with one material throughout the frame in terms of low weight from structural simplicity, as well as in a semi-compact design that enhances efficiency and comfort via a smaller rear triangle and longer seat post.
Perfectly complimenting the frame is a mix of Shimano 105 and Tiagra parts including dual-pivot brakes, an external-bearing compact chainset plus Shimano wheels and light weight finishing kit, that combine to create an exceptional high-performance package.

Genesis Core 20
The Core series frames have been carefully designed to offer a balance of stiffness and shock absorption that is unusual in an aluminium frame, never mind that of a bike at this price point. This is a hard-riding hard-tail which isn't tough on you - but is hard on riders attempting to stay with you!
A test-winning success in 2007, the Core 20 needed little attention for 2008 in order to keep ahead of the competition. The ride quality, handling and value that made this bike such a popular choice at this level last year was the perfect base to add a few fine-detail improvements. Subtle changes to the frame and components offer a more balanced and lighter ride with improved fit, and the Rock Shox Tora impresses with its accurate steering and controlled damping. The Core 20 is a bike that once again proves mid-price doesn't mean mid-performance.

Genesis Equilibrium
The Equilibrium is a bike with both race speed and endurance event comfort.
The frame tubing has many similarities to that of the bikes ridden to Grand Tour victories during the days of Merckx, Hinault, Lemond and Indurain. And though steel may be pass for today's pros on race-day, the past performances of these riders demonstrates the capability of a great steel frame.
The Equilibrium's Reynolds 853 Pro-Team tubing is a more advanced grade of steel than available then. A thinner-walled and air-hardening tube that creates a performance-to-weight balanced frame with an involving ride quality that has to be experienced to be fully appreciated.
Combining this unique frame material with a semi-compact geometry simply adds to the handling response and comfort. The package is finished off with Shimano Ultegra and 105 10sp including a compact chain set.
