The Venice uses nubuck leather for the strapping system, which is more open allowing greater ventillation. The ergonomic footbed is perfect for trekking in all manner of conditions, while the outsole is streamlined, creating a lighter ride but still providing exceptional traction on mixed terrain. Like its H2 counterpart the leather version of the Venice is just as happy in the water as out. Even salt water is no barrier, making this shoe extremely versatile. The only strange thing is the 'Waterproof' tag stitched to the upper because when you think about it how do you make a sandal waterproof? Of course it merely refers to the shoe's amphibious nature. We love the toe protection on these shoes, no more stubbed toe on that hidden tree root. Sun activated antibacterial compound to prevent odour just pop them in the washer and leave in the sun to dry off and become fresh again.
